"The Inter-American System of Defense: opportunities and challenges"
Last 7th of November our Foundation went more to the north and developed an activity with the Embassy of Canada.
The meeting, carried out at the diplomatic representation, was chaired by Dr. Hal Klepak, and had the participation of a nourished group of civilians and military specialists in hemispherical and security issues.
Dr. Klepak is special advisor to the Department of National Defence of Canada, the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Army Commander for Latin American security Affairs. He was also the main advisor of the recent VIII Conference of Defence Ministers of the
Americas (CDMA), held from September 2-6 in Banff, Alberta.
Finnally, he is professor of history and warfare studies at the Royal Military College of Canada, and the Director of Programs on Security and Governability of the Canadian Foundation for the Americas.
The meeting was developed in a pleasant and interesting way, with a great exchange of opinions and experiences around problems, challenges and opportunities that afflict the continent.
We want to thanks Dr. Klepak and the Canadian Embassy for this opportunity.
