"The Foreign Policy of the Obama Administration: Strategic Challenges and the Situation in the Middle East"

The past 4 and 5 of November, the Dialogue carried out several activities with the Dr. Jonathan Adelman, professor at the Graduate School of International Studies of the University of Denver.

The doctoral dissertation chairman for National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, Professor Adelman is a Senior Fellow at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies in Washington. Since receiving his Ph.D from Columbia University in 1976, he has written or edited ten volumes, and their articles has been published in magazines such as Studies in Comparative Communism; Armed Forces and Society; Military Review; Air University Review; International Journal of Public Administration; Crossroads; History of European Ideas; Política Exterior (spanish) and World Outlook.

Among others responsibilities, presents and passed, we could emphasize his roll as consultant of the Science Applications International Corporation and its previous performance as Executive Director of the Peking-Denver Project, and the Israeli Training center. Also he was member of the Executive Committee of the Section of "International Security and Arms Control" of the American Political Science Association.

He gave lectures at Association of Bussiness Leaders/UCES, Foundation TESA, the CARI and the American Club. In all of them, it made reference to the main characteristics in foreign policy of the Obama administration, a year from its election, with an emphasis in the Strategic Challenges in the next 10 years and the Middle East.
