"Organization and Financing of Political Campaigns"
Last 2 & 3 of September, our organization coordinated several activities with Dr. Michael Hannahan, professor of Political Science of the University of Massachusetts.
Michael was born in Springfield, Ohio in 1959. He received his Bachelor's degree in 1980 from Miami of Ohio and his Master's Degree and Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts. He specialized in electoral campaigns and has carried out works of investigation that study the impact of the communication activities during the political campaigns.
Dr. Hannahan has worked with political parties, managed campaigns and political consulting firms and served as Senior Advisor to former Massachusetts Governor Jane Swift. He is Director of the Donahue Institute, which provides consultation for non-profit organizations and businesses as well as federal, state and local government agencies. He also teaches courses on American Political Thought, Campaign Finance and Reform, and Modern Political Campaigns.
Finally, in the last years, he has collaborated closely with the Fulbright Foundation of the USA and Argentina, with programs in both countries.
He gave lectures at the Lebensohn Institute (of the UCR Party), the Hanna Arendt Institute (Civic Coalition Party) and the Movimiento Productivo Argentino (formed by representatives of several parties), counting in all the opportunities with an interested and participating public. He also exchanged points of view and opinions with national representatives, and advisers, academics and members of several organizations at a lunch that the Dialogue organized at the American Club.
