Lunch with Dr Thomas Devine, Legal Director of The Government Accountability Project (GAP)
The Wednesday 26 of April an encounter took place between the Legal Director of the GAP and several representatives of different institutions dedicated to the study of public policies, transparency, justice and citinzen participation.
The activity was made in the American Club, and the subject to which the Dr Devine referred was "the Roll of the NGOs and the civil participation to assure the transparency in the local, state and federal government of the United States ".

The University of Dallas and the AAD visited the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic.
The Wednesday 26 of April took place an exhibition carried out in the Banco Central de la Repúblic Argentina (BCRA).
Developed by Mr. Fernando Avalos, Manager of Monetary and Financial Developments, was asked by the Dialogue in the occasion of the visit of a group of professors and students of the MBA of the University of Dallas, Texas.

Professor David Palmer in our country. Joint activity between the Dialogue and the University of Belgrano
The Dialogue, and the University of Belgrano, organized a exhibition about "The Necessity to create a Hemispheric Security Cooperation", in charge of the Dr. David Scott Palmer, Professor of International Relations and Political Science of the Boston University.
The conference, that counted with an important concurrence, was carried out Monday 10 of April in the "President Urquiza" hall of the University of Belgrano (UB).
Later, a lunch took place in the American Club, where Professor Palmer exposed before an important amount of specialists in Latin America and International Security.

The judge, member of the United States Court of Federal Claims, was present in the country from Monday 27 to Friday 31 of March
Between multiple activities, she attended a breakfast in the Publishing house "La Ley", another one in ICANA, and was received by Dra. Elena Higthon (member of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation) and by the Embassy of the United States of America in Argentina.

Supported by the AAD Foundation and the Fulbright commission, an important scientist come to this country.
The Friday 3 of March of 2006, Dr. Dennis Miller arrived at Argentina, country in which he remained until the end of that month. Among other activities, in addition to meet with legislators, intendants and authorities of the CEAMSE, he offered conferences in the National Commission of Atomic Energy (CONEA), the Nuclear Regulatory Agency (ARN), the National University of Lanús (UNLA), the Argentine Council for International Relations (CARI) and the Inter-American Association of Sanitation and Environmental Engineering (AIDIS).
Dr. Miller have an important experience of more than 25 years in the search and development of innovating technologies to solve the management of waste, and in renewable energy. He has worked for the Department of Energy, different laboratories of the American government and at the moment he is vice-president ofSolena Group.

In the last edition of January of 2006, of the prestigious publication of the Public School of Lawyers, was included an interview with our president, Dr. Luis José Ruvira. The subject of it was "Criteria for a balanced and fruitful relation".

Ambassador Earl A. Wayne arrived to the Argentina

Earl Anthony Wayne was nominated by President Bush to be Ambassador of the United States to Argentina on April 4, 2006. His nomination was sent to the U.S. Senate for approval on April 5, and the Senate confirmed his nomination on July 28, 2006. He was sworn in by Secretary Rice on November 2, 2006, and presented his credentials to the Argentine Government on November 6, 2006.

| Our Executive Director returned from the United States.
Eduardo Diez returned from participate in a Summer Seminary of the University of California, San Diego. Denominated "Pac Rim Summer Seminar in U.S. Studies", it took place from the 3 to the 28 of July and was possible thanks to the financing contributed by that university and the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs of the Department of State.

Synthesis of Argentine and American history.

Constitution of 1853
The text of the first Constitution of Argentina was sanctioned by a Constituent Convention reunited in the city of Santa Fe, and promulgated the 1st of May of 1853. Later it was reformed and accepted by an "ad hoc" National Convention the 25 of September of 1860, now including all the country.
Between the sources that served as origin of this document, appear the jurisprudence and the political doctrine of the federalism of the United States.

Signature of the National Constitution.
The 17 of September of 1787, the Constitutional Convention reunited in the city of Filadelfia, Pensilvania, adopted the text that in the following months would be ratified by 11 of the 13 original states of the Union, taking effect the 4 of March of 1789. Later, Carolina of the North ratified the 21 of November of the same year and, finally, Rhode Island did the same the 29 of May of 1790.
In spite of the multiple amendments that had until our days, is the oldest federal constitution in operation, at world-wide level.
