During two intensive days, the Dialogue coordinated several activities with Dr. Michael Hannahan, professor of Political Science of the University of Massachusetts.
We visited the Lebensohn Institute (of the UCR Party), the Hanna Arendt Institute (Civic Coalition Party) and the Movimiento Productivo Argentino (formed by representatives of several parties).

"Visit of the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs"
The 26th of May our foundation organizated an activity at the BCRA (Central Bank of the Argentine Republic) motivated by the visit of a delegation of the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, Georgia Institute of Technology.
The speakers were Alejo Espora (Head of Macroeconomic Analysis) and Diego Elías (Main Analyst of Monetary Conjuncture); who made reference to the “recent and present Macroeconomic and Monetary Indicators” of Argentina.

Last Tuesday 7th of April, we developed a meeting with the presence of political leaders, industralists, diplomats, academic and retired representative from the Armed Services.
The Dr. Javier Corrales, professor of Political Science of the Amherst College, one of most select of the United States, was the main speaker; followed by an interesting exchange of questions and opinions.

On the occasion of the visit to our country of two important specialists, the Dialogue developed two activities: Thursday 11 and Mondays 15 of December.
The visitors were Judge Peter Messitte and Dr. Jon Mills, with who we shared a lunch the 11 and a meeting at the University of Buenos Aires the 15 of December, with its Dean, Dr. Atilio Alterini.

The Embassy and the Dialogue organized on October 29 a videoconference on “The U.S. Presidential Elections, Party Platforms and the Profiles of the Candidates”.
Both main political parties were represented by Ms. Susana Mendoza (State Representative of the Democratic Party, Illinois) and by Mr. David Rivera (State Representative of the Republican Party, Florida).

Our Executive Director returned from a scholarship of six weeks in the United States
Eduardo Diez was chosen by the Department of State, and the Fulbright Commission, to attend a course of six weeks on "Foreign policy of the United States". The seminary was developed from the 9 of June during four weeks in the University of Florida (Gainesville), and after that were other two weeks distributed between Miami, Chicago and Washington D.C.

The U.S. Constitution requires that the president report to Congress "from time to time" on the "State of the Union." This constitutional requirement has evolved into the president's annual State of the Union address, which now serves several purposes. The speech reports on the condition of the United States both domestically and internationally, recommends a legislative agenda for the coming year and gives the president the opportunity to convey personally his vision for the nation.

In the first encounters we counted with the exposition of the journalist Nelson Castro, the former vice-president candidate Jorge Asís, the former national representative Raúl Baglini, former Minister of Justice Alberto Iribarne, and presidential precandidate Ricardo Alfonsín, between other personalities.

Congress that reunited the representatives of the United Provinces of the Silver River in the present Argentine city of San Miguel de Tucumán. The 2 of July of 1776, the Congress voted the national independence and the 4 of July approved the Declaration of Independence. Also it ordered to George Washington the recruitment of an army, approved the emission of paper money and created local governments.
